CM Punjab Allocates Rs. 62 Billion in Affordable Housing Revolution

CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif issued Rs. 62 billion to initiate the affordable housing revolution. She aimed to provide housing to deserving low-income families by distributing 40,000 housing loans by May 2025. 

In a recent meeting, The CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz approved the budget of Rs 62 billion for the “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar Program”. She directed officials and advised them to speed up the distribution of the home loan. 

She is considering a review of the loan budget proposal to increase the maximum loan limit. She further proposed raising it from Rs. 1.5 million to Rs. 2 million to ensure that every citizen can fulfill the dream of owning their own home.

The officials Reported to the chief minister regarding this ambitious scheme that 5,000 individuals across Punjab have already obtained this loan. Furthermore, 4,200 homes are nearing completion of construction.

This program also collaborates with the Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) and the Housing and Urban Development Department to arrange ready-made homes for underprivileged families. 

CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif declared the objective behind this mission by stating that: Owning a house is every citizen’s fundamental right and I aim to provide shelter to every homeless person in the best and easiest way Possible.

Moreover, the CM disclosed the Punjab “Assan Karobar Finance” scheme.   The goal of this multi-billion program is to support small and medium-level businesses through interest-free loans.

CM also gave the deadline for the distribution of the tractors and seeds to farmers.  Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb said by addressing the participants that the CM advised to provide 10,000 tractors and 2,000 super seeds to farmers by February 25, 2025.

The meeting was attended by Chairman of Planning and Development, Nabeel Ahmed Awan, Asif Tufail, and other relevant secretaries. The members also reviewed several other projects that have been announced by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz during the last half-year duration.
